Planting a seed in South L.A.
SEED LA, adjacent to Evermont, is Los Angeles County’s first college-prep public boarding school. The SEED model provides students with a pathway to college and career readiness by engaging in computer sciences, engineering, and studies of systems and societies through transportation infrastructure.
In August 2022, SEED LA welcomed 125 ninth graders who became the founding cohort of students and, in May 2024, moved into their permanent school site in South LA. The school expects to expand to its full capacity of 400 students.
