For three decades, this vacant land was a reminder of the turmoil and pain of the 1992 civil unrest. Today, Evermont stands as a symbol of what’s possible – a vibrant community center with affordable housing, new shops and restaurants, and a beautiful public plaza in the heart of the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South LA.
RESIDENCES
Two apartment communities, totaling 180 units, offer affordable housing options for individuals, families, and seniors who have experienced homelessness.
RETAIL
Evermont features thoughtfully designed community centered retail spaces that bring essential services, diverse dining and shopping options to help enrich the neighborhood.
EVENTS
Evermont hosts free family-oriented events designed to foster connection, celebrate diversity, and promote engagement among residents and neighbors. These events provide memorable experiences for the entire community to enjoy.
EDUCATION
With a focus on academic excellence and career readiness, SEED LA equips students with the tools to thrive in school and beyond. SEED is the county’s first college-prep boarding school.
